Argh you're early and I'm not quite ready...

I'm still just adding the finishing touches to this website, so you have this holding page for the meanwhile but...

No-one leaves empty handed...

Top five links of the June 2011

1. Greplin.com
  • Genre: Search/Social
  • About: Greplin is a personal search engine that allows you to search for all your online data from one place. It is pretty handy for those of us who have accounts with Facebook, Twitter and Evernote etc.
2. TechCrunch
  • Genre: Tech/News
  • About: This month TechCrunch celebrated its 6th birthday. I often find that TechCrunch breaks technology news first and provides excellent reviews on tech products.
3. Google's +1 button
  • Genre: Social/Search
  • About: This month Google launched the +1 button. The +1 button is shorthand for "you should check this out". Pretty simlar to Facebook's 'Like' button. It wasn't received well by some noteable web designers & developers but ultimately it's the users of the web which will decide if +1 succeeds or fails.
4. BBC Click
  • Genre: Tech/News
  • About: BBC Click has been around for years now but I'm surprised how people still question me about the programme when I speak about it. Click is the BBC's technology programme across TV & radio. It is fronted by Spencer Kelly and is packed with news and reviews on tech, web, apps and much more.
5. Melody Loops
  • Genre: Music/Resources
  • About: For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you will already be very aware that I have been working on an Android app. The app is set to launch this summer and I'm building an entire micro site around it. Inspired by the Amazon's Kindle and iPhone/Pad adverts, I'm making a short video ad for my app. This brings me onto Melody Loops, which I'm using to provide the royalty free background music for my video.

About me

I have been designing and developing commercial websites for over a decade. Last year I decided to make a significant move into designing and developing websites and applications for mobile devices. My passion is to create beautiful usable interfaces which deliver not only for my clients but as important, the end user.
